The Anarkali suit was first introduced during Ancient Mughal Era, ( I know you must be aware of that). But do you know where does the Anarkali got its name (name of the dress).


“Anarkali ne Sehjzade Saleem se Mohabbat Ki hai”…yes now you got it right it owes their name to a very famous courtesan from the Great Mughal Empire. Anarkali was a dancer of the Great Mughal Empire Jalluddin Mohd. It is said that his Son Akbar fell in love with this girl. Well this story is greatly believed in Bollywood. Many famous dances including Anarkali use to dance in Mughal Palace and the dresses which they wore are called as Mujra Dresses which later modified into Anarkali Suits. The Anarkali has become a greatly desired option and is the modified version of Salwar Kameez these days.

Anarkali Suits are basically a combination of Long Kurta and and bottom ( usually Churidaar). The length of the kurta varies according to the choices of an individual. Well floor length kurta is in trend these days.!



You must all have witnessed the common thing which all the bollywood divas like Deepika, Kareena or vidya  that these beautiful ladies prefer Indian look more specifically Anarkali Suits while going in front of the public. Anarkali had made a major comeback though Bollywood.

Well readers you must remember when we use to call these suits as umberella suit.
